Tuition 

The Lutheran High School of Kansas City's tuition for the 2019-2020 school year is $9,400 per high school student in grades 9th through 12th.

Fees

Registration Fee

A non-refundable Registration Fee is due at the time of the submission of the Enrollment Application. 

New Student Registration Fee is $275

Re-Enrollment Registration Fee is $200 if paid by February 1st

Re-Enrollment Registration Fee is $275 if paid by February-July

Re-Enrollment Registration Fee is $300 if paid after August 1st

A discount of $100 is given to a family if a second child enrolls at The Lutheran High School Kansas City

Technology Fee

Technology Fee of $350 per student is due by May 15th

Book Fee

Book Fee of $350 is due by May 15th

Senior Fee

Senior fee of $60 is due by October 15th

Activity Fee

Activity fee of $100 per activity, MAX $200 per year is due by the first event 

(Please note: Students may have “Sponsor Letters” sent out requesting support from family and friends. You will have an additional 1-2 weeks for money to be sent before paying balance. Names/addresses must be provided the first week of practice/meetings).

Credit Card Usage Fee

A 3% processing fee will be applied to any transaction using a credit card. We accept VISA or MasterCard.

Tuition Discounts


The Lutheran High School of Kansas City offers an Association Church member discount, multiple child discount as well as if tuition is paid either in a one (1) or two (2) payment plan option.

Association Church Discount

Level A discount of $1000

Level B discount of $500

Multiple Child Discount

A family will receive a 2nd child discount of 20% on the tuition. 

A family will receive a 3rd child discount of 40% on the tuition.

Please note, the multiple child discount does not apply to fees or other charges.  

Payment Plan Discount

Option 1: One (1) Payment Plan. A 3% discount is given when the tuition is paid by August 1st. The discount is only applied to the tuition. 

Option 2: Two (2) Payment Plan. A 2% discount is given when half (i.e. 1/2) the tuition is paid by August 1st and the second half (i.e. 1/2) is paid by January 1st. The discount is only applied to the tuition.

Option 3: Monthly Payment Plan must use ACH debit plan. The Payments begin in June prior to the school year and the calculations will have the payments completed in May.

Please note, if your family requires an Alternate Payment Plan, please contact the Executive Director. The Alternate Payment Plan must be in writing and signed by the Executive Director.

Grant-In-Aid Program

The Lutheran High School of Kansas City offers the Grant-In-Aid program for a family who desires to enroll their child(ren) in The Lutheran High School of Kansas City. The Grant-In-Aid program is based on financial need. The Lutheran High School of Kansas City requires a family member to volunteer at The Lutheran High School of Kansas City if their child receives the Grant-In-Aid award. To apply, please complete the Confidential Application for Financial Aid. The Confidential Application for Financial Aid is due by May 15th. Please submit the Confidential Application for Financial Aid to The Lutheran High School of Kansas City.
