ADMISSION PROCESS

Thank you for considering Lutheran High School of Kansas City. The following steps must be completed prior to admission:

  • Complete the application and pay the registration fee. This fee is non-refundable unless your student is not accepted.
  • Take the placement test.
  • Provide a copy of your student’s most recent report card (entering grade 9) or transcript (entering grades 10-12). Request official transcripts and cumulative records from your student’s previous school.
  • Provide a copy of your student’s birth certificate.
  • Complete the health and insurance forms.
  • Set up an interview with the registrar and/or principal.

ACCREDITATION

LHS is accredited by AdvancEd (formerly North Central Association Accreditation), National Lutheran Schools Accreditation, and Missouri Non-Public School Accreditation.

TUITION:

Base tuition at LHS for the 2016-2017 school year is $8,650. Association Church members receive a proportionate discount. A multiple child discount is also offered. Tuition is paid directly to the high school. Payment options are available through the business manager and discounts are given for those families who pay in one or two payments. The tuition at LHS for our foreign exchange students is $10,400 each school year.

FEES:

A non-refundable registration fee is due at the time of application. The fee is:
Re-enrollment (if paid by February 1st): $200
February - July: $275
After August 1st: $300
A second child from thesame family receives a $100 discount.
The enrollment fee for all new Students is $275.
The Technology/Book Fee of$350 per student is due by the first day of classes.

Each semester course: $350.00
Each course for the year: $700.00
Family concurrent enrollment for semester: $200.00
Family concurrent enrollment for year: $400.00
Individual registration fee: $100.00

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE:

Lutheran High School assists families in making Christian education affordable. Financial aid will be dispersed based on need and available funding. Application forms are available in the registrar’s office. Students must be enrolled in order to be eligible for aid.
The deadline for submitting financial aid applications is May 15th.
