The Lutheran High School of Kansas City is a private, Christian, high school, located in Kansas City, Missouri. We serve approximately 120 students in grades 9th through 12th. The Lutheran High School of Kansas City was established in 1980 with forty-four 9th and 10th grade students and nine full-time and part-time faculty. There were 23 students in the first Class of 1983. The Lutheran High School of Kansas City has since graduated over 800 students.

The Lutheran High School of Kansas City is fully accredited by Cognia, Missouri Non-Public School Accreditation and the National Lutheran School Accreditation.

The Lutheran High School of Kansas City is designed to educate students and guide students to grow fully into the person God created them to be. We believe that each student is unique. God gave each student different talents and skills. Our faculty and staff are prepared to work with every student in the classroom. Our teacher-student relationship is considered vital to the success of our students and school. Our school community also plays a complimentary role in the success of our students and school.

We hire faculty that upholds our mission and vision of The Lutheran High School of Kansas City. Our faculty and staff believe that teaching students is an honor and take it very seriously. It is not "just a job" to our faculty. We provide them with ongoing  professional development to ensure that our faculty are equipped to fulfill their mission and responsibility to our students and school.

The Lutheran High School of Kansas City offers a college preparatory curriculum, taught by Christian faculty. The average teacher to student ratio is 1:10. The average ACT score is 25. Twenty percent of our students score 30 or higher on the ACT.

Students complete a minimum of 40 hours of community service hours per year at The Lutheran High School of Kansas City. The Lutheran High School of Kansas City also offers co-curricular and athletic activities. Eighty five percent of our students participate in at least one co-curricular activity.
