Course description: Each student will be given information about the role money and finance plays in their life. They will learn to examine issues regarding buying, investing and careers as it relates to the rest of their lives.
Class goals and objectives: After completion of this course the student should be able to:
- be a confident consumer
- understand investment options and the potential outcomes of those options
- understand credit and debit use
- know how to consider the financial aspects of a career
- understand the function of the stock market and how it works for the consumer
Evaluation: 50% projects
50% tests
Quarter grades are 40% each and the final is 20% of semester grade.
