PHYSICAL EDUCATION

GOALS:                 EACH STUDENT WILL LEARN LIFE SKILLS IN PHYSICAL FITNESS AS WELL AS ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATED WITH FITNESS. WE WILL PARTICIPATE IN A VARIETY OF SPORTING ACTIVITIES W/ A FOCUS ON LIFE TIME OPPORTUNITIES TO CONTINUE A FITNESS LIFE STYLE. NO STUDENT WILL BE ASK TO DO ANYTHING THAT WILL PUT THEM IN HARMS WAY OR EMBARRASS THEM. THEY WILL BE ASK TO PARTICIPATE TO THE BEST OF THEIR ABILITY. A WARM UP TO PREVENT INJURY AND PROMOTE WELL BEING WILL START EVERY CLASS PERIOD.

 

CLASSES:              WE WILL MEET THE LAST CLASS PERIOD OF MONDAY WEDNESDAY AND FRIDAY WHICH IS H PERIOD. EACH STUDENT WILL BE ALLOWED AMPLE TIME TO PREPARE FOR CLASS AND FOR DISMISSAL.

 

EVALUATION:    80% 0F THE GRADE WILL BE BASED ON PARTICIPATION. 20% WILL BE BASED ON COOPERATION AND ATTITUDE TOWARD THE CLASS. EACH CLASS PERIOD WILL CARRY A VALUE OF 25 POINTS SO THAT EACH STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO FOLLOW THEIR PROGRESS CLOSELY. ANY ABSENCE WILL REQUIRE DOCUMENTATION TO BE EXCUSED.
