2018 marks the eleventh year of “Summer Knights” - a program
of camps and activities for elementary students from area schools and
also team camps for our High School students. Along with the original 2008
camp offering of basketball and volleyball, the program has expanded to include
a Basketball Shooting Camp, Soccer Camp, Tennis Camp, Golf Camp, Cross Country
Camp, and Art Camp.
The majority of the Elementary Sports Camps are open to students
entering grades 6 through 8, however the Art Camp will be offered for
students entering grades 3 through 8; the Cross Country Camp is open to
students in grades 4 through 12; and the Basketball Shooting Camp is geared
toward students grades 5 through 12.
Team Camps in Volleyball and Soccer are available for our
high school students, as well as Open Gym time in the months of June and July
and Soccer Conditioning in July. Current Tennis Team members and anyone
interested in playing the sport may meet at Minor Park from 6 to 8 p.m. on
Mondays in June and July for Open Court play.
The Girls’ Basketball and Volleyball Teams will participate
in League play during the month of June and the Boys’ Basketball team will
compete in a variety of weekend camps and workshops.
