German Trip

On Tuesday, June 3rd, Frau Emily Meier (German, Spanish, and Sign Language Teacher at LHS), along with 10 students and 2 adults, left Kansas City for a 2-week trip to Germany. All of the students had studied German for at least 3 years. This is Frau Meier’s third trip to Germany with LHS students.

Students commented that while speaking the language was easy when ordering food, having in-depth conversations with the host families proved a challenge. Students were also surprised at the number of bakeries in the German cities they visited and that bread was served with every meal. Bakeries were even located in the McDonald's locations that they visited!

Cities visited on the trip included Berlin, Dresden, Rothenberg, Frankfort, and Nuremberg.

Miss Meier is planning a trip to Spain in 2020 with 15 of her Advanced Spanish students.
