This service that you perform is not only supplying the
needs of God's people, but also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to
God. Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, men will
praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of
Christ and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else.
2 Corinthians 9:12-13
The "Service for the Lord" programs gives students the opportunity to thank God for His many blessings. Students will have the chance to reach out to individuals, small groups or agencies to offer their spiritual gifts, talents and time. Freshman and sophomores need to obtain 10 service hours for the year and juniors and seniors must earn 20 service hours. The director of this program will give the students more information throughout the year and will help monitor hours served.
