Geometry

What is Geometry?

Geometry is a part of mathematics that deals with the interaction of points, lines, and planes.  Students will have to use their spatial sense in order to work through exercises involving two-dimensional and three-dimensional objects.  This will be the first time in mathematics that students will demonstrate their knowledge why mathematical realities are really true.

Students will be introduced to the basics of Trigonometry in this course.  The class will explore the trigonometric functions as they relate to right triangles.  Additionally, students will learn explore the law of sines and the law of cosines to determine how the lengths of the sides of triangles are related to the angles in the triangle.
