This year students will celebrate under the theme Blast from the Past. In addition to Thursday’s Lip Sync, Friday’s Courtwarming Game, and Saturday’s dance that week, students will also show their school spirit by dressing up according to daily “themes.” Tuesday’s theme is "When I grow up. . ." Students will be asked to think back to what they wanted to be when they grew up. (i.e. Doctor, Fireman, Teacher, Telemarketer [lol!]). Wednesday’s theme is "Childhood Fav's." Students and Faculty should dress like their favorite children's book character, favorite board games characters, favorite cartoon character, etc.. On Thursday, students will follow the theme "Throwback Thursday" and dress like they did when they were younger. Then on Friday, students are encouraged to show off their awesome school spirit by wearing maroon and gold or knights apparel on "School Spirit Day.” Awards will be given to those showing the most school spirit by participating in the themes.
Events planned for the week include the Annual Lip Sync Competition on Thursday, January 21st (where the grades compete for prizes by selecting a favorite song, choreographing dance moves, and lip syncing to the lyrics); Friday night's basketball game against Sherwood beginning at 5:00; and the Winter Courtwarming Formal Dance - on Saturday from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m.
Coronation of the Winter Court will be held prior to Thursday’s Lip Sync at 6:30. This year’s King and Queen along with their Court will be introduced to the public at Friday evening’s basketball games.
Members of the LHSKC Community and all Alumni are invited to join the Knights for any and all of these events.
